NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of Supervisors of Jasper County, Mississippi at the Jasper County Courthouse, Bay Springs, Mississippi, until 10:00 AM on the 22ND day of October, 2021 publicly opened for the County Wide Pipe Replacement being known as County Project No. JSCBS-106-21(P) in Jasper County Mississippi.

NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS:

CONTRACT TIME: 90 Working Days

BASIS OF AWARD:

The award, if made, will be made to the lowest qualified bidder on the basis of the published quantities.

The attention of the BIDDER is directed to the State and Federal laws governing selection of and employment of labor.

The Board of Supervisors hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that, in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, minority business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color or national origin in consideration for an award.

This project shall be constructed in accordance with the latest edition of the Mississippi Standard Specifications for State Aid Road and Bridge Construction.

PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND PROPOSALS are on file and can be viewed and obtained from the County Engineer, Lawrence R. Clark, P.E. at 714 Hillcrest Drive, Laurel MS, 39440, phone number 601-649-5900.

All hard copy proposals shall be directed to the attention of The Jasper County Board of Supervisors with the outside of the envelope marked “JSCBS-106-21(P) COUNTY WIDE PIPE REPLACMENT PROJECT”. Contractor shall indicate certificate of responsibility number on the outside of the envelope. Online bids shall be accepted and opened as instructed on the website.

Certified Check or Bid Bond for five percent (5%) of total bid payable to Jasper County must accompany each proposal.

Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letter qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid, and such proposals will not be considered in making the award.

State Aid is not a party to this contract or the project.
