Project Description: The Arts Alley – Downtown Transit Hub project is a revitalization effort for the area around the public parking garage in the heart of Fairhope’s downtown. There will be a variety of vertical elements incorporated in the construction of this project, such as masonry walls, wayfinding signage, site furnishings, and a restroom facility that includes plumbing and mechanical. The site work involved in the project scope includes, but is not limited to, drainage, tree pruning, paving, electrical, lighting, landscape, and irrigation. The project location will require coordination with the City and businesses burdened by this project. The selected contractor shall be agreeable to open lines of communication, and to keeping businesses operations running as smoothly as possible.
Project cost range is anticipated to be $850,000 – $1,000,000.
Construction Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work:

Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:

Location: City of Fairhope Offices, 555 South Section Street, Fairhope AL
Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of  percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of  days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
Bidders’ Questions: Landscape Architect will provide responses at Pre-Bid Conference to bidders’ questions received up to [three] 3 business days prior to Conference.
Plans, Drawings and Specifications are on file and may be viewed in the Purchasing Department of the City of Fairhope, Alabama, located at 555 S. Section Street. Prior to opening, copies of the bid packet, including plans, drawings and specifications will be available at www.cplaprojects.com. Bid advertisement, addenda and other related documents will be posted on the City of Fairhope website: www.fairhopeal.gov, Questions or comments pertaining to this bid must be presented in writing and sent as an e-mail to the attention of the Project Manager, Christian Preus, e-mail: email@example.com seven (7) days prior to the bid opening or will be forever waive.
Successful bidder shall begin the Work on receipt of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. Work is subject to liquidated damages.
Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. A Performance Bond, separate Labor and Material Payment Bond, and Insurance in a form acceptable to Owner will be required of the successful Bidder.
