Sealed bids will be received at Yazoo County Board of Supervisors Office located at 211 E Broadway Street, Yazoo City, Mississippi, during legal office hours until 10:00 a.m. CST, July 22, 2022, for the Yazoo County Health Department Renovations (CDBG 2021 PF Project) Project No. 1137-21-082-PF-01, for all labor, equipment, and materials (as specified) for ADA Improvements. Sealed Bids may also be mailed to Yazoo County Board of Supervisors, PO Box 1106, Yazoo City, MS 39194.

Bids will be opened and read aloud at the closing of the bid period at the Board of Supervisors Conference Room.
The work generally consists of the following items:

1. Site Access Improvements and ADA Ramp
2. ADA Restroom Renovations
3. Interior Renovations and Finishes
4. Associated Electrical, Mechanical and Plumbing

The above general outline of features of the work does not in any way limit the responsibility of the Contractor to perform all work and furnish all labor, equipment and materials required by the specifications and the drawings referred to therein.

Contract time shall be 180 consecutive calendar days from the effective date shown in the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages will be assessed in the amount of the actual costs, expenses and other losses reasonably incurred by Owner for each consecutive calendar day beyond the specified contract time.

Bidder must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors establishing his classification as to the value and type of construction on which he is authorized to bid. Bids shall show the Contractor’s Certificate of Responsibility Number on the Bid envelope.

Proposals must be submitted in duplicate on the form included in the Project Manual and must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least five percent of the bid. Bidders shall also submit a current financial statement, if requested, by the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and Performance Bond in the amount of 100 percent of the contract amount. No proposals may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time.

Awarding public contracts to non-resident bidders will be on the same basis as the non-resident bidder’s state awards contracts to Mississippi Contractors bidding under similar circumstances.

Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.

Site visits will need to be coordinated through the Yazoo County Board of Supervisors.

There will be a non-mandatory pre-bid conference at 10:00 a.m. on July 6, 2022. The conference will be held at the Yazoo County Health Department, 230 E Broadway Street, Yazoo City, Mississippi.

Yazoo County Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities whenever rejection is in the best interest of the owner.
