Notice to Bidders: Notice is hereby given that sealed bids will be received for the project named below by the Leake County School District.
Project Identification: 20100 Leake County Schools Toilet Floor Replacement.
Project Location: Carthage, Mississippi, 39051

Project Description: Project consists of Demolition and replacement of toilet room floors across multiple campuses.
Project cost range is anticipated to be under $200,000.00
The Owner has set a goal of 15% participation of locally owned companies for this project and a goal of 15% minority / woman owned participation for this project. Contractor must prove and document a good faith effort in writing of their efforts to obtain these goals within (7) days of notification of award of contract.
Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Bid proposals must be delivered in a sealed envelope marked plainly on the outside of the envelope with the following: “Leake County Schools Toilet Floor Replacement; Project Number 20100 to be opened June 2, 2021” Envelope shall be addressed to Yvette Young, Superintendent of Schools, 109 West Main St., Carthage, MS 39051. In addition, the envelope shall list the bidders Company name, Company address and all applicable state and local license and registration numbers of the bidder. Envelopes not so marked are submitted at the risk of the bidder as the Owner and Architect assume no responsibility for the premature opening of any bid envelope by any employee of the Owner or Architect. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows:
In addition, Electronic bids may be submitted through the website www.dalebaileyplans.com. Electronic bids are not required by the LSD, but offered as another means to submit a bid. Single stipulated sum bids will be received for all work required by the contract documents in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders

Location: Leake County School District Board Room, 109 West Main St., Carthage, MS 39051
Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate only upon the blank proposal forms provided with the specifications and must be accompanied by Proposal Security in the form of a Certified Check or acceptable Bid Bond in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Base Bid: such security to be forfeited as liquidated damages, not penalty, by any bidder who fails to carry out the terms of the proposal, execute a contract and post Performance and Payment Bonds in the form and amount within the time specified. The Bid Bond, if used , shall be payable to the Owner.
Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud.
Bid security shall be submitted with each bid in the amount of 5 percent of the bid amount. No bids may be withdrawn for a period of 90 days after opening of bids. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
The owner reserves the right to postpone action and final decision for a period of up to ninety
A Pre-Bid Meeting for all bidders will be held at on May 6, 2021, 10:00 a.m., local time. Prospective prime bidders are requested to attend.
Bidders’ Questions: Architect will provide responses at Prebid conference to bidders’ questions received up to two business days prior to conference.

Bid documents are being made available via original paper copy or digital CD. Plan holders are required to register and order bid documents at www.dalebaileyplans.com. Bid documents are non refundable and must be purchased through the website. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration.
