NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor and City Council of the City of Aberdeen, Mississippi will receive

written sealed bids until the hour of 10:00 o’clock A.M. local time on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the

City Clerk’s Office, City Hall 1st Floor, 125 W. Commerce Street, Aberdeen, Mississippi, 39730 for the

furnishing of all labor and materials and for the construction of the certain Project designated as the “THE

MAGNOLIAS OF ABERDEEN SITE IMPROVEMENTS”, with Contract Documents and Specifications

being on file at the office of the City Clerk at City Hall in Aberdeen, Mississippi. Electronic bids will be

received until the specified date and time via online submission through

Bids are related to the construction of proposed building improvements to the Magnolias of Aberdeen historic

site located at 732 West Commerce St, Aberdeen, MS. The proposed improvements will include structural as

well as safety and cosmetic repairs to the front porch area, roof drainage system improvements located near the

front porch, required HVAC removal and replacement, vertical lift removal and replacement, and mold removal

in the basement area. Materials and related work as required for the contractor to provide, install and finish the

proposed improvements as defined in the Contract Documents and Technical Specifications. The Project shall

make provisions for all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals required to provide the improvements as

defined in the Contract Documents, including the General Conditions of Work and Technical Specifications.

All proposed improvements are/shall be located within existing property maintained by the City of Aberdeen.

The total Contract Time shall not exceed 45 consecutive calendar days.
